Stop sore throats

Short informative video on what Rheumatic Fever is and how you can prevent it

This is a quality educational video for parents and caregivers who want to know more about rheumatic fever. Designed to be viewed online or in community settings.

Available in English, Te Reo, Tongan and Samoan.

Tofiga Fepulea’i and Dr Sarah Sciascia present the information. It was filmed at the Ora Toa Takapuwahia Medical Centre in Porirua and in the neighbouring community.

Please note the page of stickers requires a knife to be made (to cut around the stickers). We recommend printing on the following materials to ensure good quality packs:
  • Sticker chart. Add your logo or personalised details in the space provided on the back page. Printed full colour, on both sides, 250gsm offset, apply magnet strip on back page (40 x 20mm), trimmed to finished size A5.
  • Page of stickers. Printed full colour on white gloss permanent self-adhesive, die-cut and trimmed to finished size A5.
  • Two colouring-in pages (boy and girl) of ‘SuperKid’ character. Printed single sided black on 80gsm offset, trimmed to finished size A4 and folded to A5.

Options for print

Print on removable self-adhesive vinyl. Use water proof stock so the rear adhesive can be exposed to the elements when used outside. Print on self-adhesive stock on both sides for increased usability.

Sore Throat Clinic Footpath Sign

Four versions (English on both sides, English on one side and Te Reo on the other side, English on one side and Tongan on the other or English on one side and Samoan on the other side).

Designed to a common 620x820mm size, with rounded corners and built-in handle. A die-line in the PDF to indicate corners, and handle hole can be turned off by your printer.

You can order a sign directly from Banner Express. The footpath sign includes a water-filled base, printed on UV resistant laminated vinyl. Double sided $135+gst per unit. Order online or call 0800 862266 and ask for the sore throat clinic sign, they already have the artwork.

Key Tips for a Warmer, Drier Home Discussion Cards for Health Professionals a set of cards that gives key tips on how to create a warmer, drier home.

The Discussion Cards were created with a range of health and social service providers and Māori, Tongan and Samoan communities. They are a tool to help shape conversations with families, empowering them to keep their homes warmer and drier, and prevent germs from spreading.

Discussion Cards for Health Professionals to use on electronic devices that are easy to navigate eg. iPads and Android tablets.

Download the ebook (ePub format)

The file is a fixed layout ePub file that you can copy to your tablet or laptop. It has interactive navigation that will only work if installed correctly. To use, you will need to install ePub reader if you haven't already (these are mostly free to download). There is an installation guide below.

On Android:

  1. First, install Adobe Digital Editions from the Google Play store.
  2. Then, click the link to download the ePub.
  3. It may open in Adobe Digital Editions automatically, if not, look in your completed downloads and choose ‘Open' with Adobe Digital Editions.
