Disability and mobility aids

If you have reduced mobility, there is a range of equipment available to make it easier and safer for you to do your every day tasks and to get around your home or community.

You may be able to get funding for some equipment or modifications to your home from Disability Support Services, ACC or the Lottery Grants Board. Your healthcare provider can help you find out what you might be eligible for. You can find out more in the links below.

Your healthcare provider may refer you to a physiotherapist or occupational therapist, or you can see one privately, to get advice on finding and using mobility aids at home.
