Public opinion about a smokefree New Zealand. In Fact

In 2010, around one-half (51%) of respondents agreed that being Smokefree is part of the New Zealand way of life. Around two in five (43%) agreed that cigarettes and tobacco should not be sold in New Zealand in 10 years time and around one in three (35%) agreed that cigarettes and tobacco should not be sold in New Zealand in 5 years time. Around two in five (42%) agreed that cigarettes and tobacco are too dangerous to be sold at all.
