The Locally Specific Impacts of Alcohol Outlet Density in the North Island of New Zealand 2006-2011

7 Aug 2013

In March 2012, HPA commissioned NIDEA to undertake research into the geographically-specific relationships between alcohol outlet density (by type of outlet) and social harms (specifically different types of police events, and motor vehicle crashes) in the North Island of New Zealand between 2006 and 2011.

This project expands and extends the earlier Manukau research on alcohol outlet density to cover a larger geographic area and a longer timeframe in order to better understand context-specific issues.
