Wellbeing and Mental Health among Rainbow New Zealanders: Infographic

24 Jun 2019

Results from the New Zealand Mental Health Monitor show that Rainbow participants were more likely to report poorer mental health compared to the total population. Rainbow participants also reported lower life satisfaction and higher rates of social exclusion. Despite the higher rates of social exclusion, Rainbow participants remained active contributors to family, whānau, friends, and society.

This infographic used data from the 2015, 2016, and 2018 New Zealand Mental Health Monitors to summarise the wellbeing and mental health of Rainbow New Zealanders.
